Love It or Lose It!
from JAYARESBasement
A new year and a fresh start, continuing my weightloss journey. In February 2011 I was 280.1 lbs and decided to take action by becoming a better version of myself, inside and out. Continuously learning, growing and experimenting with what works, I reached my lowest weight (so far) of 245.6 lbs a total loss of 35.4 pounds!
I found as time went on my weight began to linger in and around the lower 250 pound range. From September to
mid December my weight hardly moved
and I wasn't moving much either. So it's no big mystery as to why my weight was nearly at a stand still. The exercise and meal plans I had tried earlier in the year, became boring or felt like a chore. Even what was suppose to be fun, vlogging about my weightloss journey on Youtube, started to feel more like an obligation, rather than a place to unwind. I began to feel discouraged and overwhelmed. Basically I was trying to overhaul a life of bad eating habits and choices, not to mention everything else that stacked up to me gaining nearly 300 pounds! You see how that could easily all come crashing down into one big mess that no one wants to deal with, ESPECIALLY ME!
Despite all those feelings and being over ambitious with a multitude of goals, though I wasn't as nearly motivated as I was at the beginning of my journey, I knew that I didn't want to give up. I don't want to give up. This is the most awake, the most aware I've ever been, not just with my weight but in life. I am ready to transform.
During the holidays, I had gone from 254lbs to 258 lbs, not pretty but at the same time I knew what I was doing and decided that I would do the most common thing I could think of....start over in the new year! As much as I hate the idea of new year resolutions or joining the January weight loss band wagon, here I am! It just feels right. I'm ready to continue on this path with my new acquired knowledge and open mind. Instead of taking on the world all at once, I'm going to choose a few things to focus on first.
This website has been created to share all that I have to give on weightloss, my weightloss. Here you'll find updated photos, blogs, recipes and the people who have and who continue to inspire, teach and motivate me to become a better, healthier person.
Other ways I am tracking my loss is through networks such as Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
Maybe you'll be inspired by something you see or hear from this website or from the links I have shared.
Thank You,
Jolene
